About this Location

Leominster State Forest covers 4,246 acres in the towns of Leominster, Fitchburg, Princeton, Sterling, and Westminster. The forest offers trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing, as well as rock climbing and fishing opportunities. One of the main attractions is the Midstate Trail, a 95-mile long-distance trail that passes through the forest. Another is Crow Hill Pond, a scenic spot for swimming and picnicking. Leominster State Forest is easily accessible from MA-2 (exit 28) and is open year-round for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty and recreation options.
