The pond has no motorboat access and no development, making it a quiet and pristine place to enjoy nature. You can launch your kayak or canoe from one of the put-ins along MA-31, or hike the 4-mile loop trail that circles the pond.

Leominster State Forest covers 4,246 acres in the towns of Leominster, Fitchburg, Princeton, Sterling, and Westminster. The forest offers trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing, as well as rock climbing and fishing opportunities. One of the main attractions is the Midstate Trail, a 95-mile long-distance trail that passes through the forest. Another is Crow Hill Pond, a scenic spot for swimming and picnicking. Leominster State Forest is easily accessible from MA-2 (exit 28) and is open year-round for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty and recreation options.
