About this Location

It is an easy walk at Captain Sargent Conservation Area around the farm fields and Community Gardens on Tuttle Lane off South Acton Road.

Park on the side of Tuttle Lane at the pull-off on the opposite side of the street from the Community Gardens (room for two cars) or at the entrance to the Community Gardens (room for four cars). Please do not park or drive on the farm field or farm field roads. Walk around the farm fields then cross Tuttle Lane at the gate by the fire pond and walk the road around the gardens. The road around the garden is a relatively flat 0.5-mile figure-eight which could be walked multiple times for more mileage. The farm fields are currently leased to a Christmas tree farmer and the Community Gardens consist of over 80 garden plots. Watch for overwintering birds and visit again during the summer when the fields and gardens are growing. Please be sure to keep dogs on leashes while walking around the farm fields and gardens and follow the Conservation Land regulations.
