Oak Island Pannes is a wetland complex located in Rumney Marsh. It consists of salt marshes, mudflats, tidal creeks, and salt pannes. The pannes are shallow depressions that retain water and salt after the tide recedes.

Rumney Marsh is a 600-acre salt marsh located within the Saugus and Pines River Inlet. Visitors can bird watch, fish, and boat. The marsh is an important site for flood control, water quality improvement, and recreation. Rumney Marsh is part of the Saugus and Pines River Marshes Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC), which protects its ecological and historical values.

There are parking lots on Ballard Street and Bristow Street. There is no pull-off parking allowed on MA-107.
