During camping season, birding by ear early in the morning may be the most appropriate. When the campground is closed, try walking along the main road while watching and listening for birds.

Songbirds. Winter finches are possible from October through February.

The Dunes campground is open for camping from May through September. You can walk into the campground from the Visitor Centre parking lot.

Pinery Provincial Park is a 2532.19 ha park operated by Ontario Parks. It was established in 1957.
