Just before arriving at this hotspot, there is a driveway entrance on the south side (the right side of the highway heading east from Raymondville) of Texas Highway 186.

This might be a good place to park to be able to get all the way off the highway which is a rather busy road.

There appears to have been a parking area inside the fence at this location and possibly an old road that heads east from the parking area towards the dry "pond."

This hotspot is on the south side of Texas Highway 186 (Red Fish Bay Road) so winter sun could be an issue when birding here.

None. There appears to be an old "road" out to the pond on the inside of the fence line that might be able to be walked.
