Scan McGregor Bay from the end of McGregor Line where there is a turnaround and plenty of space to park. A slightly better vantage is just north back up the hill from the turnaround, where the slightly elevated location allows for a more unobstructed view of the bay. A spotting scope is pretty much essential at this site.
A good variety of waterfowl can be observed at this location in March and early April, as well as a variety of marsh species during the summer. Red-headed Woodpecker has been observed on a number of occasions at this location.
Located around 2.5 km south of CR 2 on McGregor Line, this site is a good location to observe waterfowl in spring. Highland View Resort & Cottages is private property, as are all the surrounding lands and marsh, so viewing is from the roadside only.
