Mammoth Cave, Kentucky 42259
Drive slowly down the road with windows down to hear feeding flocks. As much as possible, use the many pull-offs to stop and bird.
In spring, this is a good area for warblers. Hooded, Black-and-White, Worm-eating, Black-throated Green, and Ovenbird are often seen and heard.
The pin location is at the middle of this one way, southbound road. It is usually quiet and less-traveled, but do not go the wrong way on it. See the Street View map to see the proper entrance. The gravel road is about 2.5 miles long and has many pull-offs where you can stop to bird. If you stop in the road to get out of the car to bird, don't go far from your vehicle, so you can quickly get out of the way of approaching vehicles. Stay on the road and pull-offs to avoid damaging wildflowers and providing ticks a good chance to find your skin.
