Tips for Birding

Officially this is a private resort and is not open to the public without having a reservation.

If you decide to bird here, be very, very respectful of the fact that this is private property. Consider remaining in your car unless you are at the park on the creek and near the large lake.

When you first enter the resort, you might be able to turn right (stay in your vehicle here!!) and look for waterfowl on the lake to the right of the entrance bridge.

Do not leave the paved road here and do not look towards the houses on the left with your binoculars.

Return to the main road then take the next left. This will lead you to the park along the creek and by the bigger lake.

It might be possible to walk around this park but consider bypassing that option if there are a lot of people at the park--in the busy season, for example.
