Mosswetusset Hummock is a historic site in Quincy. It is a small hill that was once used as a meeting place by the Massachusett tribe, who gave their name to the state. The hummock was also the site of the first encounter between the English colonists and the native people in 1621 when Myles Standish and his men visited the area. The hummock has a scenic view of the Boston skyline and the Neponset River.
