There is a paved multi-use trail around the perimeter of the park, approximately 1.5 miles, mostly flat. There are a few spots with gently rolling terrain.
There really isn’t a reason to carry a scope. You can find birds here year-round. The spring is especially nice, but you can find interesting things in all seasons.
Galloway Park is located on Galloway Road 2 miles south of West Broad Street. Take West Broad Street exit off of I-270.
There is handicap-accessible parking and the trail is accessible to folks with wheelchairs. You can’t bird by car, though. You may end up sharing the trail with people on bicycles or rollerblades, or pushing strollers.
