Official WebsiteHistoric Jackson Hill was the location of Fort Norton, an earthen fortification system that defended Rome during the Civil War. During the Great Depression, the Works Progress Administration redeveloped the area, which included the Rome Civic Center, rock bridges, and an amphitheater (now the Labyrinth of Rome). Over five miles of interconnected trails on site. A canopy of trees covers the trail system making it perfect for warm, sunny days excursions.
