There are often numerous birds on the breakwater. You can often see small shorebirds on the rocks bordering the channel.
Brown Pelican, Double-crested Cormorant, Laughing Gull, Ruddy Turnstone, Forster's Tern, White Pelican
This is a 50 acre park that runs along the Ship Channel. The Ferry Boat Landing is nearby. There are usually lots of families and fishermen enjoying the park. There are covered pavilions and a playground. Look for Dolphins surfing in front of the big cargo ships that come through. You can also often see Green Turtles among the rocks.
There is a driving loop that you can park anywhere along. There is also a sidewalk loop.
