Tips for Birding

The entire park is appropriate habitat for Yellow-throated Warblers in migration, as Sandy Creek runs right through the park and is lined by Sycamore Trees, a tree favored by the species. At one time these were called Sycamore Warblers. Sandy Creek continues on behind the high school and there are many Sycamores along its course.

The park is small and has easy to walk on paths and is completely flat. There is a McDonald’s just across US-30 from the park area.
