The Echo River often among the area's first bodies of water to open up in the spring, which attracts a number of early arrival waterbird species.
Bald Eagle, Wood Duck, Bobolink, Eastern Kingbird, Clay-coloured Sparrow
This is a 2.9 km stretch of Echo Lake Road that runs right along the Echo River. Waterbirds can be found in the river and a wide variety of songbirds can be found in the roadside shrubs and fields, especially during the breeding season.
This is also a popular location to find Northern River Otters.
