Good environment for a variety of Ohio birds.   Grassy fields surrounded by mostly deciduous forest.  Wooded nature trail, several ponds and boggy areas, gravel and grass paths.  

Veterans Memorial Park is home to walking and nature trails, 4 baseball fields, 3 softball fields, 6 multi-use fields, a playground, 2 pavilions with grills, and a concession and restroom building. The park has roughly 97.9 acres. The park is also home to the annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival.

Eagle Point is a new 16.5-acre addition that has been added to Veterans Memorial Park. It can be accessed from Veterans Memorial Park or from 39115 Detroit Road. This new section has a completely different feel and is being developed to maintain and enhance the natural beauty of the 4-acre pond.
