This hotspot used to be very productive. Unfortunately, heavy development in the surrounding area has affected the bird life on the trail. 

In winter sparrows can be found between the Rivery Street overpass and Chandler Park. Water fowl on the small pond at the entrance to the park can sometimes provide a few ducks, grebes, herons and egrets.
