It is owned and maintained by Saint Augustine Church, a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Augustine on Barre Street. The cemetery has about 1,993 memorials, some of which date back to the 19th century. The cemetery offers a unique view of the city from its terraced hillsides.
