This is essentially a 'historical' Hotspot. It looks like there is no current access to these wastewater ponds or, if any, is limited to government-mandated surveys on contract as biologists. In the 1980s, there was access -- set up by local observers who are now gone -- and the ponds were good for ducks, and sometimes migrants geese, in late fall and winter. Typically, a pond here in the past was either full or empty, so it was never known to be good for migrant shorebirds. The surrounding habitat is simply agricultural fields, so it was not known to attract migrant passerines.
Ducks, and sometimes migrant geese, in season.
