Make sure to cover the perimeter of the lake since the road continues around it, and watch for shorebirds! This lake is often birded in conjunction with Palmetto State Park.

Loads of waterfowl; one of the best places in Guadalupe county for ducks, geese, sandpipers, you name it! 

This hotspot is best birded from your vehicle. Be sure to use flashers if you stop to look at something, and pull off as far as possible without going into the ditch. It is located off of Salt Lake Road in Luling, TX.
