Great Pond is a large freshwater pond located in Falmouth. It covers an area of about 2.5 square miles and has a maximum depth of 34 feet. The pond is fed by groundwater and several streams and drains into Vineyard Sound through a narrow channel. Great Pond is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, and wildlife viewing. Great Pond is home to several historic sites, such as the Old Stone Dock and the Falmouth Pumping Station.

Located off of Maravista Avenue in East Falmouth, Great Pond is known for its calm water and easy launch and landing point. Easily accessible from Falmouth and Mashpee locations.
