Granite Lake is located in the towns of Nelson and Stoddard. The lake covers 233 acres and has a maximum depth of 115 feet, making it one of the deepest lakes in the state. The Granite Lake Association, formed in 1949, owns the island in the middle of the lake and preserves it as a natural habitat for bald eagles and loons.
