This former water treatment plant is drier today than it has been in the past, but still excelllent for birding.  Make a note of opening times on the sign as you enter, as the staff will lock the gates at 4:30pm.  If they see a car, they will make an attempt to find you, but don’t chance being trapped.

Notable Trails

Once inside the gate, there is a levy trail around the entire Pond 1, where you can explore all the areas of the pond and marshes.  Some of the best viewing is from right inside the gate, where there is plenty of views down to the pond and a small concrete platform.
