Arlington Landfill is one of the best landfills in North Texas for Gulls in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. There literally are hundreds of Ring-billed Gulls and a few handfuls of Herring Gulls that visit every year.  There have been Mew, California and Thayer's Gulls that have been recorded. Franklin's Gulls migrate through in the thousands in Spring and Fall.
