About this Location

Grizzard park is a 50 acre soccer park owned by YMCA of Rome and Floyd County. Facility is fenced in and gates are closed unless soccer games or practices are occurring.  At end of George Griffin Drive adjacent to the soccer fields is Dixon Landing a boat ramp and public fishing area managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Property provides access to Etowah River and a small hardwood area alongside the river. There is a picnic area at the boat ramp and also at Grizzard park. Grizzard park also has restrooms and playground.  George Griffin Drive is often used as walking / running trail during soccer practices. Little to no traffic when games/practices are not occurring and can also be driven and birded by ear.
