Hotspot for Eiðisvatn and the immediate surroundings. The lake is dammed up for production of hydroelectric purposes. Borders to another hotspot, Millum Tjarnir, on the hills/plateau to the north. Ducks, Red-throated Loon/Diver, and certain waders like Oystercatcher, Whimbrel, Golden Plover, Black-tailed Godwit and Eurasian Curlew might be seen in the area, although the two latter are low-numbered breeding birds. Arctic Jaeger reasonably common in the area.
