Trouants Island Marshes is a wetland complex that covers an area of about 1,000 acres and consists of salt marshes, tidal creeks, mudflats, and upland islands. The marshes provide habitats for a variety of wildlife, including migratory birds, fish, shellfish, and rare plants. The marshes also protect the shoreline from erosion and flooding and filter pollutants from the water.
Macombers Way traverses the marshes and leads to the Trouants Island neighborhood.
