Broad-tailed Hummingbird and Black-throated Gray Warbler. The hotspot is a reliable location for observing Mexican Jay. Cassin’s Finch has also often been observed.
Operated until 2009 as a Nature Conservancy education center, the 178-acre grounds include not only the 1928 lodge but also 3.7 miles of marked trails, which connect to the extensive trail network in adjacent Gila National Forest.
