Silver Lake covers an area of 84 acres and has a sandy beach and a campground on its northern shore. The lake is popular for paddling, swimming, and wildlife viewing, as it is mostly quiet and free of motorboats. Silver Lake State Park offers visitors a range of facilities and amenities, including picnic areas, play areas, restrooms, showers, boat rentals, and a snack bar. The park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is close to other attractions in central Vermont.
There is a fee for the state park during the summer season.
Silver Lake (84 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
