Tips for Birding

If you carefully keep your bird records by state, be aware of the location of the state line and use the appropriate eBird hotspots when you submit checklists.

About this Location

This hotspot hugs the border of Massachusetts and Vermont. There is a small picnic area/boat launch located off of Tunnel Street with ample parking to accommodate this infrequently visited reservoir.

Sherman Reservoir (160 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
