Minards Pond is surrounded by a 1.8-mile loop trail that is marked with red markers. The trail passes through a forest and offers views of the pond and its wildlife. The trail is moderately challenging, with some elevation gain and some sections near I-91 that can be noisy.
Minards Pond (46 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
