Lily Pond is small and shallow with a maximum depth of less than 13 feet. It has no natural outflow except in extreme flooding conditions, which creates a unique habitat for plants and animals that can adapt to fluctuating water levels. Lily Pond's public access area is off Pond Road.
Lily Pond (41 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
