Jacksonville Pond is fed by a tributary of the East Branch North River and is dammed by a concrete and stone masonry structure. The pond offers views of the surrounding hills and forests and is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, and boating. Nearby attractions include the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum, Mount Snow Ski Resort, and the Whitingham Historical Society Museum.
Jacksonville Pond (20 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
