About this Location

Haystack Pond is a 27-acre lake that lies just below the summit of Haystack Mountain, at an elevation of 2,984 feet. The pond is surrounded by wetlands and forests and offers a view of the Deerfield Valley and Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire. The pond is a reservoir for the town of Wilmington and is accessible only by a hiking trail that climbs about 1,000 feet from the trailhead.
