Craftsbury Road (VT-14) passes the west side of Hardwick Lake. The lake is a reservoir that covers an area of 145 acres and was created in 1930 by the construction of a dam on the Lamoille River.
There is a boat ramp that provides access to the lake at the north end of the lake View Map.
Hardwick Lake (145 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
