Hancock Mountain Pond is part of the Green Mountain National Forest and is accessible by a dirt road from VT-100, which follows the scenic White River Valley. The pond is surrounded by maple trees, which create a colorful display in the fall season.
Hancock Mountain Pond (14 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
