About this Location

Elfin Lake is accessed off Route 140W. The recreation area on Meadow Street features basketball courts, ball fields, a playground, and a tennis court.

A pedestrian bridge connects the recreation fields to Stone Meadow Park featuring scenic walking trails. Honey bee hives have been installed at Stone Meadow and can be viewed from a safe distance. A kayak and canoe launch into Otter Creek is located off Waldo Lane.

Hiking enthusiasts may access the Long Trail, the Appalachian Trail, and the Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreational Area for adventurous and scenic hikes.

Elfin Lake (16 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
