Tips for Birding

Gravel road leads to Brazos River and a small dam.  Upstream the water is deeper and holds waterfowl in winter.  Downstream the river is shallow limestone and can have lots of shorebirds and herons and egrets in season.  From the parking area by river you can walk on a trail that circles the property that has riparian forest and good fence line for sparrows etc.
