Island Road is a scenic route that runs along the coast of Essex. It offers views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Essex River, and the Great Marsh. 

Island Road goes north from MA-133 and, after passing the entrance to the Stavros Reservation (TTOR) , is adjacent to and provides views of the adjacent salt marsh.
