Remnant of an old oxbow complex. Recent years have had lots of water.
Start point: I-29 Exit 141 at Sergeant Bluff IA. Proceed EAST through Sergeant Bluff ~ .6mi to Port Neal Road. Turn right (SOUTH) and proceed 1.2 miles to Banner AVe. Turn left (SE) and proceed in a southerly direction. Area will be on the right (WEST) side of the road. Parking is along the road.
Wetlands surround by trees. Good spot to bird especially during spring migration. Great-tailed Grackle, Cinnamon Teal, Yellow-headed Blackbird, ducks/geese, and shorebirds along with some woodland species.
