Owsley Fork Reservoir

Owsley Fork Reservoir

Tips for Birding

You can go either way when you reach the fork in the road at 37.55042, -84.18708. If you turn right onto Radford Hollow Road, proceed to the boat ramp, park, and walk the rest of Radford Hollow Road. Good habitat for songbirds. If you turn left at the fork onto Owsley Fork Road, you will pass a church and find a small parking lot on your right. Good spot for scanning for waterfowl. You can also keep going past the parking area. The road transitions to dirt, driveable with a few potholes. Good for viewing flocks of waterfowl in migration. This goes along the reservoir. Be on the look out for locals on ATVs, who have an impromptu shooting range at the end of the road.

Birds of Interest

Good songbird habitat along the roads. Occasionally good waterfowl in migration.
