Both water birds and woodland birds can be expected here. Couch's Kingbird has been heard and seen in the park.

Park renamed Eagle Lake Veteran's Memorial Park. Near the center of town on U.S. 90 Alternate.

There is a level hard surface, half mile long walking path from the parking lot to Eagle Lake that follows a creek draining into the lake. Just before reaching the boardwalk bridges near the lake there is a short path to the left following an old right-of-way.
