Cumloden Cedar Swamp is a natural area located in Falmouth. It is one of the few remaining examples of a coastal plain Atlantic white cedar swamp in the region.
These 5.6 acres between Cumloden Drive (off Woods Hole Road) and Moorland Road (off Elm Road) are owned and managed by Salt Pond Areas Bird Sanctuaries, Inc. and are home to the rare and sensitive Atlantic white cedar swamp habitat. A trail from Cumloden Drive winds around the wetland and an offshoot heads steeply uphill to Moorland Road.
The closest public parking is at the foot of Elm Road, at the Shining Sea Bikeway crossing, or Peterson Farm, off Woods Hole Road.
