Silver Lake Park offers swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, and picnicking. The park features a playground, a pavilion, and a beach. The park is managed by the Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department.

Silver Lake Park is closed from November through May. The park is open from 9 am to 7 pm or dark, whichever comes first. A parking pass is required. The Gate is locked nightly. On July 4th, the gate will be locked at 4 pm.
