Plymouth Harbor is the site of the first permanent settlement of English colonists in New England, known as Plymouth Colony. The harbor was used for fishing, trade, and defense by the colonists, and is now a popular tourist destination. Plymouth Harbor is home to several historical landmarks, such as Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II, and Plimoth Plantation. The harbor also hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, such as the Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Plymouth 400 Celebration, and the Waterfront Festival.
