Black's Creek is a tidal estuary that flows into Quincy Bay. The creek is a popular destination for kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching. The creek has a history, dating back to the colonial era, when it was used as a source of fresh water and a transportation route. The creek was named after John Black, a settler who owned land along its banks in the 17th century. Today, Black's Creek is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Quincy Parks Department.
