Pemaquid River Landing

Bristol, Maine 04558

About this Location

Pemaquid River Landing, also known as Pemaquid Falls Park, has views of the Pemaquid River and its estuary. The Pemaquid River is a 19-mile-long waterway that starts at Tobias Pond in Waldoboro and ends at Johns Bay. The landing is managed by the Harbor Committee and the Parks Department of Bristol. It is a popular place for boating, fishing, kayaking and picnicking. Pemaquid River Landing is also close to other attractions in Bristol, such as Pemaquid Beach, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and Fort William Henry.

This is a fast-water section of the river above and over the falls and then is a tidal bay to the southwest. There is parking for 4 cars.

Just upstream on ME-130 is the site of the last remaining sawmill in Bristol. The Old Bristol Historical Society is pursuing the Pemaquid Falls Mill Restoration and Museum Project
