About Green Point Wildlife Management Area

Green Point Farm Wildlife Management Area in Dresden is a combination of fields, old orchards, and wooded wetlands. The state maintains the site as a grassy meadow, which produces a wealth of nesting sparrows, mostly Song and Savannah.

Waterproof footwear is recommended in damper seasons and on dewy mornings. The site borders the confluence of the Kennebec and Eastern Rivers in a shallow area full of wild rice. Large numbers of ducks are sometimes found during the migration periods in April and late autumn. Scout near the bridge.

From US-1 in Woolwich take ME-127 north. Go 1.8 miles; turn left onto ME-128, then north on ME-128 to the Eastern River Bridge. Park at the large green shed on the west side of the road, 0.3 miles north of the bridge.
