View from any publicly accessible parking lot.  The various ponds attract waterfowl in migration at times, but generally in small numbers.

There are a number of ponds in the area around the intersection of NW 18th Street and NW State Street in Ankeny.  The largest is at the high school, but the more easily viewed are right along the roads in the northeast and southwest corners of the intersection.  This is a busy area, so be safe with traffic and use discretion around the school.
