The parking area has trees and bushes, providing plenty of bird habitat. There are also lovely views of the Chattahoochee River. Be careful along the riverbank; there is quite a dropoff and the backs are undercut.
Park is frequently used as a launch site for kayaking or canoeing downstream to McIntosh Park, Chattahoochee Bend, or farther.
A variety of swifts and swallows can be seen here with some nesting under the bridge. Many songbirds are also seen regularly.
There are a few picnic tables and benches and a wheelchair-accessible portapotty although there is nothing paved other than the boat ramp and the parking lot.
